The Following abbreviations apply . . . .

S1 = Stage 1

MT = Manual Transmission

AT = Automatic Transmission

HC = High Compression

MTL = Manual Transmission Late Build (After 1-1-1970

ATL = Automatic Transmission Late Build (After 1-1-1970)

Although the exact switch over date is unknown it is widely accepted that Buick switched from the short Decal to the longer Decal sometime in January of 1970. So with that being said if you need the shorter style decal you would order the ones listed prior to 1-1-1970. If you want the longer style Decal then you would order the one that is built after 1-1-1970. Another Note on this, typically the short Decals were used on the Plastic (early version) Radiator Top Plates and the longer Decals were used on the Metal Radiator Top Plates.
